TJMaxx.com Filter Redesign

One of our biggest priorities for FY19 was redesigning our desktop and mobile filters because we realized our current experience was not only out-of-date, but cumbersome to use. The process started with a deep-dive into industry standard best practices, analytics, customer feedback on the current experience, and a thorough competitive analysis. From there, initial sketches were created, and a collaborative conversation with the development team was started. Based on the initial sketches, the development team was able to determine the level of effort required, if there were any technical roadblocks, and what would be in-scope for this project. Based on those determinations, final mockups were created using Sketch, along with detailed spec documents, and shared with members of the development and quality assurance teams.

Splitting out sort from the filtering menu, adding white-space, giving more defined hierarchy to the category name and item total, and moving the color swatches to come before the product description
